Please fill in ALL information, in detail, when applying for this job - Education and Work Experience, or attache a WORD document resume. •Designs tools, molds and fixtures for maximum efficiency. •Develops, evaluates and improves tooling designs to reduce overall product cost. •Works with Value Stream manufacturing Engineers on the resolution of tooling related difficulties. •Applies engineering principles and methods to aid in tooling and manufacturing problem solving. •Provides technical assistance to manufacturing, production, and support staff. •Provides technical feedback to tool, materials and product engineering, regarding molding and manufacturing. •Works with Engineering on new processes and methods implementation for bonding, molding and manufacturing. •Estimates tool lead times and related costs to provide information for management decisions.
Mandatory Qualifications
Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering (or related degree), with experience in thermoset material manufacturing. Working knowledge of mold design, related tooling, and elastomer properties is required. A minimum of 1 – 3 years of experience covering the above areas is required. Experience in technical problem solving coupled with demonstrated technical documentation skills is a mandatory requirement. The candidate will also have demonstrated abilities to verbally present their work and function effectively within a team.
Non-Mandatory Qualifications
Advance degree and/or additional studies in the related fields of elastomers, tool design, and/or CAD software.
